PRIVACY

Privacy policy.

Last updated: October 16, 2026

This policy covers reading-frame.com, the ReadingFrame newsletter, and messages you send us. For privacy questions or requests, email nheram9@gmail.com or use our contact page.

What we collect

When you subscribe, we store your email address, signup and confirmation times, subscription status, and a token for confirming or cancelling your subscription. We also record when confirmation emails were sent, unsubscribe times, and which newsletter issues were sent to you so we can avoid duplicate sends.

To limit automated signups, we store a keyed hash of your IP address with the signup attempt time, rather than the raw IP address. These records are intended to last about 24 hours; records older than 24 hours are deleted when a subsequent signup request is processed.

If you use the contact form, we store your name, email address, message, submission time, and the message's handling status.

How we use it

We use this information to confirm and send your newsletter subscription, prevent abuse and duplicate emails, honour unsubscribe requests, and reply to contact messages. We do not sell your information or share it for other companies' marketing.

We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. The newsletter contains research updates; a day with no new post sends no issue.

Where it goes

Subscription records and contact messages are stored in Supabase. Resend receives your email address and email content to deliver confirmation and newsletter emails. The website is hosted on Vercel. These providers process technical request information, such as IP addresses, to operate their services. Email delivery can also involve bounce, delivery, and complaint records held by Resend.

Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries where they operate. Their privacy information is available from Supabase, Resend, and Vercel.

Analytics and browser storage

Google Analytics and Plausible are not enabled. Our fonts are served from this website, so your browser does not need to contact Google Fonts. Article polls save your selection in your browser's local storage only; those answers are not sent to us. You can remove them by clearing this site's browser data. Sharing links open the service you choose, which then handles your visit under its own privacy policy.

Do Not Track

The site does not change its behavior in response to browser Do Not Track signals. We do not use advertising trackers or track your browsing across other websites. Our service providers receive the technical information needed to serve pages and deliver emails, as described above.

How long information stays

Newsletter and contact records currently have no automatic deletion schedule. Active subscription records are kept to deliver the newsletter; unsubscribed records and delivery history remain to record your choice and avoid duplicate sends. Contact messages remain until manually deleted. You can request deletion using the contact details below. The separate signup-attempt cleanup is described above. Provider logs and backups follow each provider's retention and deletion processes, so deleting a live record does not necessarily remove backup copies immediately.

Your choices and requests

Every newsletter issue includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops future issues but does not automatically delete your stored records. To ask to review, receive a copy of, correct, or delete subscription records or contact messages, email nheram9@gmail.com or use our contact page. Identify the email address involved and what you want us to do. We may ask you to verify control of that address before disclosing or changing records. We handle requests under applicable law; some records may need to be retained for legal obligations. You can read the site without subscribing or submitting the contact form.

Children

ReadingFrame is for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us at the email address above so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate.

Changes to this policy

Updates will be posted on this page with a revised last-updated date. For material changes to how we use personal information, we will provide a prominent notice on the site or notify affected subscribers by email before the change takes effect, and obtain consent where required.
